If desired, the pins can be soldered to the board.
Fee Arduino Nano - a small, full-featured, well compatible with a breadboard board based on the microcontroller ATmega328 (Arduino Nano version 3.0). It has more or less the same functionality such as the Arduino Duemilanove, but just a different design. It lacks the power connector DC, and cable connector - Mini-B USB instead of the standard. Nano has been developed and now Gravitech (USA).
You can upload files boards Arduino Nano 3.0 (ATmega328): scheme , Eagle files .

Arduino Nano can be supplied from connector Mini-B USB, 6-20V unregulated external source (30th pin), or an external source of controlled 5B (27th pin). Power source is automatically selected to the highest voltage.
FTDI FT232RL chip on the motherboard Nano is powered only when the board is powered from USB. As a result, when the card receives power from an external source (not-USB), output 3.3V (which is available chip FTDI) is absent, and RX and TX LEDs will flash if digital lines to 0 or 1 is sootetstvenno unit.
ATmega328 has 32 KB (2 KB of which is also occupied by the loader). ATmega328 has 2 KB SRAM and 1 KB EEPROM (which can be read or written using the EEPROM library ).
